Bquiltin ~ Outlook on Life!

Still excited.... healthy cooking -eating -  I choose JOY.... this day!   Therefore  I  – Beverly….. do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Belgium - Descoware ... creme de la creme of cookware

say in the mid-1950's.   Just about the time I was born???    I'll have to go home and look around and see if my mother or aunties afforded this brand of enamel over cast iron VINTAGE ...shall I say....cookware!
These are shiny pictures from the internet..... I've taken pictures of my very own 9 3/8" skillet -- A BEFORE PICTURE....  I plan to clean it, cook in it,,, and do the AFTER PICTURE!

Quilting is my love..... but I must admit I like Williams Sonoma.... with its pots and pans and utensils.   A good outlet store .... and always check out the kitchen at an estate or garage sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday and Friday are always LOOKOUT days for garage sale.... so I noticed a person putting out a sign on Classen Blvd.. on my drive to work.   Note:   I'll be back for lunch!!!

The house was old and rickkety... the white lady was hyper happy and friendly!   I saw a really nice black, cast iron skillet about 10" that I wanted to buy for one of my daughter.... cost about $7.50!

Also....  I stopped by a second time (picked up some cash) and it was gone.   So the second best buy in the kitchen was this oddly, heavy, attractive set of 2-skillets and a 2-qt pot sitting on the old stove that was also for sale.....   I googled the name Le Couset... as the lady looked over my shoulder.  She wondered if she had priced it decently... I immediately handed her the ten dollar bill for all three and skurried out to my Jeep!

Happy me... for the medium sized pot and lid............the Large skillet and a smaller skillet with a lid!!!  .... Descoware Skillet in Vintage ~ (1960's)  Flame Color.    (9 5/8" x 2 1/8")  Cast Iron and porcelain enameled inside. Wooden handles is in excellent condition and can be screwed off for use in the oven. DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER!!!!      Absolutely indispensable in the kitchen, if treated properly this skillet can last a lifetime. The White interior is primed and ready to cook up your eggs, saute onions and fry up the perfect meal.

This item is in Good condition. No Cracks or Scratches. Nice and clean.  The base is marked with "Descoware" and "MADE IN BELGIUM"   Ebay priced
(69.99)

I'm luvin my quilt life today!!!

Dear Quilt World....I'm Praying for my Sister.....

An old Cherokee told his grandson,

"My son, there's a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth."

The boy thought about it & asked, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee replied,
"The one you feed."
